Thomas was married three times, 2nd to Ellen Evernden (no children) and to Alice, one child named Freegift. Children by his first wife included: Sarah, Abigail, Nathaniel, Joseph, Horestill, Theophilus, Thomas. All were born in Tenterden, England. Thomas' son Joseph (Nathaniel's brother) was one of the "Merchant Adventurers" of London who financed and stood steadfastly by the Pilgrims in many disagreements between the Plymouth Colony settlers and their financial promoters.
