In this photograph-album some photos of meetings with relatives while travelling through United States in year 1965. Unfortunately was not occasion to take photos of all relatives, who was meeting. Interesting was to meet the younger and youngest of the family.
In Sweden the son and the daughter can either take the fathers christian name and do the surname: Ola Martens-son will be par example Jons the son of Ola, also Jons Olsson, the daughter of Ola, also Olsson or Olsdotter (Ols-daughter) as surname. The children can also take the surname directly: Ola Martensson, in United States Ola Martinson.
The children of the old Ola Martensson Johanna, Ola and Jons was born in Ullstorp, in the parish of Onnestad, and from there their father and mother went to the parish of Navlinge, there the old Ola Martensson was dead. Only the three children (recorded in the family table) survived from childhood.
In the 1850's they had a severe outbreak of Cholera epidemic in Sweden and many children was carried off.
