Ever thought of the web as being just as complicated as a Dr. Suess rhyme? There are chat rooms without walls, downloads and uploads and all kinds of strange names. If you don't know all that stuff and you don't have anyone to ask either, here's the place for you. I even go there occasionally just to see what's new there.
Just like any other form of transportation, you need to learn where you are and how to get around. Here's one place to you figure out where you are. By the time you're done you'll know exactly where you are. You probably will also be able to figure out where you want to go and be able to get there yourself by the time you're done. The web is large (world wide) and awfully intimidating for the novice (and sometimes even the experienced) computer user. The folks at Learn The Web have been around for a few years now. You may remember my link to them from previous presentations. Their site does an excellent job of introducing terms and concepts to the web "newbies." It's also good resource for anyone who wants to learn a little more about the cyber realm of the internet.
